Interesting. The where clause looks valid from here, and not a paren in 
sight. Could the ODBC driver be inserting parens in its quest for 
vanillaness? 

Always have thought it would be a good idea if SQL invalid token messages 
showed the statement and a reference to the token in error in their 
second level. Here's another instance where that might make things 
easier. Does the SQL0104 suggest valid tokens?
