        I used to use the performance Manager when I was running V3R6.  When I
upgraded to 3R7, I ran into some problems with it and stopped using it. 
I assume I was probably missing a PTF or something simple like that. 
While it was a nice feature to have, automatically logging Disk usage
and CPU utilization, I don't think it was a necessity.  I am pretty good
about running disk reports manually to keep track of system usage.  One
thing I can say about PM/400 is that you can send all of the accumulated
data to IBM and they will return a series of reports and graphs that
shows system performace and growth.  If capacity planning is a big
concern at your shop, I would say go ahead and make use of it.
