CA UniCenter is being loaded onto a PC on my desktop to provide a "one-
console" system management solution for a number of AS/400s on the token ring
network of one of our clients. This version is supposed to run on a PC under
OS/2 (later, CA has announced that they'll run under NT with UniCenter TNG).

The guy who is installing OS/2 Warp on the desktop unit has been having all
sorts of trouble, and I haven't touched OS/2 since about 1991, so I can't help
him. One of the problems he is having is that not all the disk is being
recognized. The PC is a Deskpro 590 with 32 Mb of RAM, a 396 Mb disk unit
which OS/2 recognizes, and a 1 Gb disk slave unit, which is not recognized. As
a result, the operating system, Client Access, and UniCenter are all squashed
together onto the 396 Mb disk.

So, my question is: how can I get OS/2 Warp to recognize the other 1 Gb?

The second problem has to do with Client Access. We have a tested the token
ring adapter and cable and network, and can make an emulation connection with
the AS/400 using Comm Mgr. However, UniCenter insists upon using Client
Access. Client Access argues a bit with Comm Mgr as to who is going to command
the communications, seems to win the battle, but never connects to the AS/400.
Any ideas on where to look?

Hank Heath
