My predictions:

1. IBM will bow to the overwhelming number of CISC processors in the market
place and announce an upgrade of V3R2 either through the VASP method or release
method.

2. IBM will gradually shut down the OS/2 group and give them the much desired
pink slips.

3. IBM will make a major acquisition to thwart the Wintel group.

4. The new copper technology will be introduced in the AS/400 processors before
the RS/6000 processors.

5. IBM will drastically cut prices on memory and DASD.

6. IBM will consequently increase software licensing prices.

7. IBM will unveil the all in one turnkey approach (install, maintain, manage
data centers) for small to medium size businesses.

8. IBM will start offering local phone service in at least one state in USA.

9. IBM earnings will surpass all analysts expectations.

10. IBM will further reduce their workforce by offering attractive early
retirement to some of their least performing division personnell.

11. David Letterman will pitch IBM products :-)
