Predictions for 1998:
1 - Version 4, R3 will be a bummer, lots of holes, leaks, and troubles.
People will be glad they skipped that one.
2 - Java will reach a plateau and level off, far below IBM's plans and
hopes. It will be two years more before the concept becomes mainstream,
perhaps three years.
3 - The fun will be with NT. Companies will install NT and there will be
problems but there will be few complaints and people will flock to
seminars, conferences, and classes on NT. IS budgets will bloat, and lots
of new jobs will be created.
4 - The AS/400 will sell better than ever, performance will improve 28%.
5 - I will get VA RPG working somehow.
