  • Subject: Give it an X, closing the emulator window.

We have a situation where a small group of users are closing
the emulation window (Netsoft) when they are in a program,
such as Order Inquiry. This causes their 400 job to increase
it's usage of the CPU until we notice that the system slows
down. We check, find this job running wild and we then end
the job.

Is there any way for the system to recognize this and end
the job?

The messages we get in the job log are:

Session stopped by a request from device QPADEV0001.
Input or Output request failed. See message CPF5140.
    Request to device ZU failed.

Thanks in advance,
Marc Zylka ( mzylka@netpath.net )
