Just a thought;
COBOL has been around a long time, so I expect that there are dozens of
COBOL to <your language here> converters. So in the short term, (three to
five years) save your business logic in COBOL and then when the
better-faster-cheaper comes out, you could use an of the shelf converter to
move your apps to whatever platform/OS is hot then.
Is COBOL the latin of the computer world?
