Another thought—apparently OS/2 has the capability of adding extended
attributes. Maybe those "Plain Text" things were done in OS/2? Booth, are
you listening? Or, e-mail the people at Hursley
(<http://ncc.hursley.ibm.com>)—they're the ones who created those files in
the first place.
