You should setoff the indicator for SFLDSP if you do not have records in the
subfile but keep indicator on for SFLDSPCTL. That should solve the problem.

If you display an empty subfile, you get an error and the program bombs.

There is a technique where you write one record to the subfile then
immediately
clear the subfile. This prevents the error.

But; isn't there a more elegant way to avoid this error. If I mismember
correctly, there's a keyword you can use. It's been over two years ...

... help!
