I solved this problem by writing a one-line program in AWK to make my file (an
ACH file for direct deposit) exactly 96 bytes long. It runs in a DOS window and
is very fast.

If desired, I can alter the program to allow the user to pass a command-line
parameter for the desired length, and then post the file on my web site.

Anyone interested??
