By saying M$'s SQL "allows such nonsense", do you mean something as complex
as;

KEY     CHAIN  FILEB                 50
        IF     (*IN50 = *OFF)
        EVAL   FIELDA    =  FIELDB
        UPDATE FORMAT
        ENDIF
?????

Isn't nice to have more than one RDBMS tool at your disposal on a 
given platform?
