  • Subject: Uploading from Excel 5.0 to the AS/400 Using Client Access & Rumba/400 file transfer

Hi Folks !

I have worked with (PC/Support) Client Access from day one and have
never had any (real) trouble getting stuff off of the AS/400 and down to
PC files.

But, going the other way was ALWAYS a pain... It has been a LONG time
since I have had to do this and I can't find my notes and am taking the
LAZY way out with this message...

I am using Excel 5.0 and have a very basic spreadsheet that contains
single lines of information consisting of employee name, location and
department. We are using Client Access and the Rumba/400 file transfer
piece.

I need to get this data up to the AS/400 in a "meaningful/useful" form
(I can get it up there now, but it is comma delimated and floating ALL
over the place. I know I can do something with FDF files, etc. but have
TOTALLY spaced this.

ANY help would be GREATLY apprecitted !

Thanks in advance,

--
Chuck
