I use VisualAge for Java. I like it a lot. You can download a fully
functional sample version off the web, I can't recall the URL but you can
go to www.ibm.com and use their search facility. 

The retail version (I got it for $75 from Programmer's Paradise, I think)
comes with a terrific tutorial.
