"Proven" is a loaded word, you betcha.  :) 

FWIW, as the firewall was approaching completion here in Rochester, the
developers held an invitational, encouraging anyone on-site to attempt
to hack through it.   

Now, I don't know how many truly seasoned 'hackers' we have here (I'm
certainly not one) but nobody got through...  And, with a cup of coffee
(the ultimate reward) on the line, you know there were some serious
attempts!
