As noted earlier,  PL/I is still available but not as an LPP.

OS/400 was and is, written largely in PL/MI (not PL/I) - this is one of a
series of internal use languages that if you were to see  it, you might think
was the result of a late night encounter between an assembler and a PL/I
compiler.  Most recent additions to the system (like the new RPG and Cobol
compilers) are written in C, and of course the microcode for the Risc boxes is
written in C++.
