Hi, Al:

http://www.unibol.com is a good place to start. There, you can browse
the capabilities of the product. A sample application is provided at
< http://www.computerpower.com/rpg2.htm >. The application is shown
complete with RPG and OCL code. It's a pretty slick little app. that
allows the S/36 to generate HTML in ASCII format. Input is EBCDIC
data. Cool.

The company seems to do a bang-up job of /400 emulation, but I do not
have any personal experience with the product (would jump at the
chance, though).

If you go to the "Support" page from www.unibol.com, then select the
product you are interested in (/36 or /400, *not* /38), you will be
presented with a list of faq's, product info, etc. that you can browse
online. Their web site is pretty extensive.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

I have a client that is proposing to port their system to Unibol. Unibol
is an AS/400, S/38, S/36 operating environment which runs under Unix. I
seem to remember that there were significant restrictions, but I don't
remember where I saw this.

If anyone has any experience with the product, or knows where the
restrictions are documented, please respond.

Al
