  • Subject: AS400 spool trought the internet

Hello all, here is my problem:

We have an AS400 (v3r7) with a permanent link to the internet. We use
the software from INET to give access to the system (terminal
emulation). This way, our sales offices in other contries can access our
system and put the orders in.

So far so good. But we need to print the order forms at the sales
office. The company that sold the Inet solution did built a rexx program
to convert a spool file to a web page, this way the user can use the
print feature of the browser to print reports. But this solution have 2
draw backs: Reports with more than 160 columns get truncated (they were
truncated at 132, but playing with the font size, we managed that much)
and when we want to print on preprinted forms (orders form ...) the CPI
does not fit (we can not get exactly 15 cpi).

Is anyone doing that sort of thing? how do you do it?

Any help would be apreciated
