I ppulled a message off of the AS/400 news group back in June where the
sender was asking for all kinds of tapes.  He claimed to be a recycler, and
had a whole  list of acceptable formats.
        
If you want the full text, you can search deja news for a message posted to
comp.sys.ibm.as400.misc on June 16th 1997.  

Keywords; netpro, degaussed, & BPI ought to bring it up.


The email address is netpro@op.net, and he left a name of Dan Harley, and a
phone number of 215-854-6390.  I don't know this fellow, and have never
dealt with him, so I can't couch for him at all.  But it does seem to be an
interesting method of getting rid of tapes.
