"Supposedly" the PCI ASCII controller card is "coming soon" for the
600/S10 PC I only models (and would work in a 620/S20).
"Possibly" with the 1Q98 announcements - but no guarantee.
For now on the low end, assuming you don't need CA/400 connections,
something like the 5308 Protocol Converter connected to a twinax port
may be an alternative.
