Hi Mark! I interpreted the request to mean to move right adjusted
removing trailing blanks. The plain old MOVE doesn't quite do that.

> Or maybe IBM should include EVAL(R) in the next release ??

Actually, we already have EVAL(R) in V3R7, but it doesn't mean right
adjusted! We are thinking of various wonderful new BIFs to do string
alignment, which should make these sorts of tasks easier. (But as I
suggested earlier, the things we have to do for the next release may
swamp us and limit the things we want to do.)

XOR will most likely make it in the next release after the current one
under development. I prototyped the function during a lull in my work.
Unfortunately, when I got back on track, I found more problems in my
work than expected, so XOR got pushed to the back burner. Now that
things have settled down a bit, it's too late to add anything to our
current release.

BTW, I realised afterwards that the <> function works very much like
XOR if you compare two logical values. You just have to be careful
with operator precedence and use parentheses liberally.

Cheers! Hans
