There are at least two exit points that you can monitor. The one that's
used depends on which client is doing the transfer (DOS, Win31,
Win95/NT, etc). You should also probably be aware of FTP if you have TCP
available. I've not worked with IPX, and don't know if there is an
additional exposure with that. From what you're describing, I'd guess
that you are seeing Win31 users running CA or Rumba. I've implemented
exit programs that restrict access to this service, as well the one for
remote SQL, which is used by CA95/NT. I haven't (but need to) look at
the FTP situation. The programs are not difficult to write, and could
certainly log all transactions to a file, or do whatever else you need.
I don't have the specifics at home, but if you like, I could provide
some documentation that I did for my co-workers.
