That's an EXTREMELY low figure.  Do you have any idea why the count is so
low?  Heck, I could run that volume on a S/3!  I HIGHLY suspect something
wrong with the program.

The job would definitely run faster on the F97 than the 50S, and faster again
on the 530.  However, if the system is dedicated, you have a larger problem
than processor power.  This program is just NOT working right.  We've got
users griping about 100 records per MINUTE on a new PC download from
hand-held unit program.  Something is wrong here, and I'm sure the list would
be glad to help you debug your problem.  Heck, even a user-written API using
SQL single-record FETCH performs better than that on a 50S (believe me, I
know).  I am sitting here trying to think up a way to acheive that
performance on even a S/3 and cannot come up with an answer (Oooooh, unless
the system waits for 55 minutes for the operator to mount R1!).

Send us the source, if necessary...
