Actually, JavaScript isn't Java and really has nothing to do with Java. An
unfortunate marketing ploy. It is a handy tool for enhancing web pages,
though.

Java is free to everyone. It is available for just about every platform.
If you are interested in coding Java, simply download the JDK for your
platform from Sun, IBM, or Microsoft. OS/2 comes with it.
