Re: TCP/IP interface startup problem

Interesting then, that our Ethernet controller and device were set to
ONLINE(*YES), and the Token Ring controller and device were ONLINE(*NO)
when we were having this problem. I set them to ONLINE(*YES) and the
problem was fixed. A STRTCP was *not* bringing the interface up
automatically, that's what this whole thread was about...

It is not necessary to specify ONLINE(*YES) for this device, or for the
controller, and you should not do it.  In fact, when the system
auto-configs it it has ONLINE(*NO).  Just doing a STRTCP will cause the
interface to start and the controller/device to vary on.
