Microdyne/DCA's response has been if the card passes their diagnostics then
the card's OK. They did send us some beta drivers a year or so ago that
relieved a problem we had at that time but created a different problem later
on.

I have some IBM NIC's but I have hundreds of the Microdyne/DCA NIC's so even
if the IBM NIC works that leaves me with having to replace them all - not a
popular decision budgetwise.

I'd like to try to troubleshoot the problem with the Microdyne/DCA NIC
instead. What's the error message actually trying to tell me? The network
connection itself is fine - he can connect to our NetWare LAN as well as
make the initial connection to the AS/400 - only the RUMBA/400 session
connection fails.
Thanks,
Michael

As in the past to other people (I only have IBM NICs), it's possible that
something that IBM has changed at the software level has caused your non-IBM
NICs to stop working properly and requires a fix by Microdyne. When
something has worked for a while and stops working from an IBM enhancement,
IBM's response, while doing their best, has said they can't possibly
guarantee other manufacturers products.

A) Can you get an IBM NIC to test?
B) What does the support for Microdyne say?
