Andre,

Sorry for not responding sooner, but we had some problems with our
e-mail.

We had this same problem, here is our situation and how we fixed it. We
have alot of CTLDs (1000s) for all of the PCs attached to our 4 AS/400s
via token ring using Rumba. We could not set them to be offine after an
IPL, so we found that if you set the INLCNN parameter on the CTLD from
*DIAL to *ANS the problem goes away. The problem for us was that the
AS/400 was trying to dial the PC after the IPL, since the connection is
initiated from the PC by setting it to *ANS (answer) it stopped the
AS/400 from trying to dial. Our operations staff was very grateful that
we eliminated the messages after the IPL. A way to test this for
yourself is to vary a controller off and back on you should receive the
CPA57EF message or one similar to it. Next change the INLCNN parameter
to *ANS and try again, hopefully you will not receive the message. I
hope this helps.
