 If it is true they likely changed methods of implementation and this is a
natural by product.

What  you are seeing  will happen in  V3R1  or V3R6  Were data and  time
are tracked in units of 1024 Microseconds from August 23, 1928
12:03:06.315. ( Why - that one here who knows).  The different  start  date
is interesting. 

 Fixed windowing solutions are only a  temporary imvestment - Who  knows
what IBM's master plan is for AS/400 software before 2027?  I have to
believe  there will be a solution  for their software, Application and
other software maybeeach indiviaul instalations'  problem to size up and
make happen without incident.

I expect Year 2000  will hold many such surprises for everyones code.
