If you configured them as *IPDS with the IPDS SIMM, you need to reset
some time-out values on the printer and on the config. On the CHGPSFCFG
set the Release Timer to *SEC15. And if you use ethernet, on the
printer set the ethernet timeout to 30 seconds. Again, I am assuming
*IPDS on Ethernet LAN. If you use TR or Twinax, call IBM's new printin
divisions's tech support line at 1-800-358-6661 and punch in options 2
and then 1. These guys are very patient and try to make up for the
shortcomings on the printer. Eventually, somebody there will get you a
solution. The most surprising thing is there is no charge (as opposed to
"Support Line").

Now only I wish Decision One or some third party will start offering
maintenance on these NP17,NP24 etc. (Bruce are you listening?)

Also, I wish I can call Blackhawk or Dataline or some similar vendor to
get the toner cartridge!
