  • Subject: Cume PTF Alert
  • From: "Rob Ward" <rward@xxxxxxxxx>
  • Date: Wed, 30 Apr 1997 13:50:28 -0500

IBM has withdrawn Cume PTF C7105370 (avail 4/25) from ECS due to a problem
with a firmware PTF for 9337 models 580, 585, 590, and/or 595 disk drives
(PTF MF14823). This PTF has been found to cause these drive units to fail
during the apply of the PTF resulting in damaged objects or system failure
(SRC 9337 3109).

If the PTf is already applied and your system is operational you are not
affected.
