Oracle on what type of machine?  Data transferred from where?

I have Oracle running on UNIX boxes, and run a product on the AS/400 to
handle the transfer:  "Oracle Transparent Gateway for DB2/400".  This lets
me read and update AS/400 data from the UNIX box, and handles translation
into/out of the Oracle database.
