Joanie asks: "I'm interested in how many of my fellow Midrange users have a
written continuity plan. We have a very basic one, but a recent IS audit tells
us
that we need a more detailed and "formal" plan. I know that there are
"disaster recovery" vendors out there, and of course IBM has offerings for
such services too. BUT I wanted to know what all of you are doing.
If possible, I"d appreciate a copy of your plan so we can use it as an
example... "

There is an excellant book edited by Kevin Williams which deals with Disaster
Recovery and Contingency Planning. It is sold by Prestige, PO Box 659,
Wolfeboro Falls, NH 03896-0659. Tel/Fax 603-569-4780. The book sells for
$85.00 US plus $5 postage. It is the only book out there that teach what you
have to do to have a good plan. Other products on the market sell for 250+. I
got a bingo card from Midrange Computing a few days ago on it. Book is written
just for the AS/400. It comes in English, French and Spanish versions.
