Hi -

I need some help. I'm working on a 400 but running software in the 36
environment (yuk!) that was written for the S/34 or so it looks like in the
OCL. I just came back from a 4 day seminar in Houston for this software
and didn't learn a thing except that the company thinks their software is
great and everyone should run on terminals (not PCs.)
They use a lot of interactive sorts and I wanted to write some CL programs
to submitted the @#!* to QBATCH but their suggestion is to upgrade the
system to 3.2 or 3.7 (I'm running 3.1) Wouldn't submitting to batch give
me some speed?
I read somewhere that 3.7 automatically comes with level 40 security, is
this true? This software runs with level 20 and in order to not let users
do anything, they give limited access even though all users have *ALLOBJ.
If 3.7 comes with 40, can I take it down to 20?
Also, I understand that OV/400 has some enhancements to it that can be
purchased. How do I get information about these?
TIA
Cheri
