A client of ours has 2 IBM i (AS/400) openings in Illinois/Wisconsin border a tad south of Kenosha.

Opening 1: Experienced Database Administrator - IBM i DB2.
-Experience managing DB2 for i database standards & practices - Performance tuning
-Experience with RPG & SQL
-Experience managing database objects (Schemas, Views, Tables, Stored Procedures, Triggers)
+A Plus but not necessary would be - Experience with data replication plus know SQL server & Oracle Applications database / interfaces.
+A Plus but not necessary would be - Experience with ETL tools DTS / SSIS, Informatica, Data Stage.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or relevant experience

Opening 2: Experienced IBM i Senior Architect.
Opening 2: Experienced IBM i Senior Architect.
Responsibilities:
-Ensure server technology platforms meet business needs & are deployed / maintained as effectively as possible.
-Drive continuous improvement of server infrastructure to maximize system availability, performance, flexibility & business continuity.
-Design logical partitions (LPARs) to meet distinct business objectives
-Monitor & tune system resource allocation including memory pools & activity levels.
-Assist with diagnosis of performance problems & develop remediation recommendations & implementation plans
-Proficient in the use of Capacity Planning and Performance analysis tools (e.g. iDoctor, Performance Navigator, QSystem Monitor)
-Provide project management for self run projects -
-Responsible for defining processes & procedures for upkeep & maintenance
-Oversee, evaluate & deploy the design of system backups, operational status & performance monitoring tools & functional areas such as security / policy / audit
-Develop & track budgets & manage relationships with critical vendors
-10+ years technology experience with a strong background in Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
