EDI Analyst

AAA Cooper Transportation ("ACT") is a family owned, non-union, regional less-than-truckload trucking firm serving 12 southeastern states and Puerto Rico plus the industrial areas of Chicago, Cincinnati, Louisville and Minneapolis. It corporate headquarters is based in Dothan, Alabama.

ACT is looking for and EDI Analyst

The EDI Analyst will communicate between internal users, external trading partners and external communications network providers.
EDI Analyst will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting with new and existing trading partners to solve communication issues.
Issues will include, but not be limited to, setting up new trading partners, testing new/existing trading partner data maps and monitoring communication system status.
The EDI Analyst will also have direct involvement with testing new application software upgrades.

Minimum Qualifications
* 5-7 years technical analyst experience
* IBM i (iSeries/AS400) experience
* Experience mapping and analyzing EDI formats/transactions.
* Experience writing design documents
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Proficient in COBOL, RPG(RPGIV,RPG/Free), CL
* Excellent listening skills, self-starter, assertive, thorough, follows established procedures, ability to meet deadlines, flexible, ability to adapt to changing priority and process
* Experience reviewing business requirements and interpreting for technical discussion and design
* Experience gathering and documenting requirements including the definition of data translation using a source-to-target mapping concept
* Strong relationship-building and customer partnering skills
* Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously between multiple projects
* Experience creating sizing or work estimate documents
* Ability to interface and work directly with customers as needed
* Must be a team player

Experience desired but not required
* Gentran Integration Suite/Sterling Integrator desired
