Summary
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This position provides technical support to the company in the administration of various IT systems, applications, policies and procedures to all employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities are essential. Other duties may be assigned.
-Works injury free, achieves an injury-free working environment, and maintains the highest Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards in our industry.
-Strives for continuous improvement in worker safety and is dedicated to ensuring that each employee understands, and acts in accordance with, the company's HSE policies.
-Works with high integrity and complies with corporate guidelines on business ethics.
-Working in a lead role, providing the technical administration of i5 systems (hardware and software) and the implementation of business application processes.
-Maintain appropriate security for all i5 systems and applications according to company's policies and procedures.
-Document and troubleshoot all security and i5 system issues.
-Interface with Infor and other application vendors to help solve problems in a timely manner.
-Perform and maintain integration of iSeries systems/applications with server/client based applications in conjunction with other IT personnel.
-Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to the Help Desk Technical Support Team for iSeries; XA application related issues when needed.
-Provide support for data transfers from iSeries to client machines.
-Assist in the development of in-house application documentation and end user training materials
-Participate in end-user training.
-Be willing to work off hours to provide minimal impact on the business for necessary updates.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) desired, IBM Systems Administrator certification preferred, 7- 10 years experience.

Tools, Technology and Equipment
-Have a minimum of seven years experience with iSeries (AS/400) systems. V6R1 desired.
-Have strong experience with Infor (MAPICS) iSeries application structure or 10+ years experience with other OS400 based ERP applications.
-Have knowledge of LPAR systems with use of HMC management.
-Knowledge of iTera mirroring software preferred.
-Have excellent understanding of the IBM iSeries computer system operation and utilities for technical support issues.
-Have a good working knowledge of iSeries client connectivity methods.
-Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
-Knowledge of i5 (AS/400) system tuning and performance monitoring
-Need a working knowledge of XA database files
-Need an understanding of how logical files and indexes work in an XA environment
-Have an understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) practices.

Language Skills
Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem resolution experience. Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write detailed technical documentation and simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
