iSeries/Windows Systems Administrator Position

We are currently staffing an iSeries admin position that requires knowledge of the Windows environment. It is located in Norwalk CT. The actual essence of the position can only be described through a conversation. The description does not do it justice. 

Server Support & Communications
OBJECTIVE/ASSIGNMENT
The Server Support & Communications analyst will provide midrange, LAN/WAN, voice and telecommunications support for local and remote systems users. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor System performance for best utilization
-  Update System releases and software changes
- Responsible for installation and removal of local and remote equipment
- Responsible for system backups
- Document all system problems and action taken
- Interface with systems vendors to handle problems with equipment and telecommunications 
- Work with IS Applications Group to coordinate software changes
- Maintain unattended operations systems for automatic job processing
- Maintain Equipment Inventory
- Perform Security Officer Functions

GENERAL BACKGROUND
- Minimum High School Graduate with AS400 training. 2-4 years operator/support experience
