AS/400 - MAPICS analyst Position in Puerto Rico (Fajardo)

Global Medical Device Manufacturer seeks a MAPICS Programmer Analyst.  The work

Here are the details of the position:

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Programmer Analyst is responsible to support and code the business processes
requirements  of  the  organization into technical operations to be performed by
computer systems.

Conduct  all  programming  and  system  analysis  activities,  including but not
limited  to,  configuration,  system design, documentation, system enhancements,
and  project management. Responsible for computer programming, develop, install,
implement,  maintain  and  support  all  information  systems.  Insures  optimum
performance of systems and highest customer service level.

Apply  the provisions to assure compliance with current laws, regulations, local
and corporate policies, procedures, and standards.

Supervised by:  IT Manager ? Business Systems

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
Education:  B.S.  in Computer Programming, B.S. in Software Engineering, B.S. in
Computer   Sciences,  or  bachelor  degree  related  to  Information  Technology
according to the experience.

Experience:   Minimum  five  (5) years of programming experience in RPG400 & ILE
within  an AS400 and Mapics environment. Experience in FDA regulated industry is
highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
·     Effective communication skills. Must be effective and comfortable
communicating with all levels of the organization.
·     Must have excellent project management skills, working knowledge of
Information Systems technologies, business processes and associated application
software; conceptual, creative and intuitive thinking skills.
·     Must be customer and result oriented, flexible, open minded, a
self-starter and a strong believer in simplification and integration; a team
player and supportive.
·     Must be able to discuss IT issues in the context of business management
and have working knowledge of industry regulations and standards (e.g., FDA,
ISO, IEEE); programming and software development life cycle.
·     Must have working knowledge of MAPICS XA, Browser, Queries, RPG400, RPG
ILE and SQL. Knowledge in ADP, and IFM is highly preferred.
·     Knowledge in manufacturing processes is highly preferred.
·     It is expected that the incumbent will make recommendations consistent
with priorities, creating new ideas and processes, delivering results, driving
for continuous innovation and demonstrating business sense.
·     Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
·     Must be bilingual (English and Spanish).
