David,

I have an extremely limited plan of what I did to take someone through the
steps just a few months ago. Jeff's description is dead-on right,
though, and my steps will only supplement. I only needed to do this
conversion so we could have location specific inventory that we could then
extract from MAPICS to load to SAP when we convert at the end of this year.
I didn't need to consider all the other things that Jeff mentions, but you
certainly must do so.
In my steps, I give you the SQL statements I used to build or clear certain
files in making the change.

Please read my steps with a full disclaimer that they are not sufficient to
do the whole job, just the very specific steps I had to follow in my use
case.

subject: [MAPICS-L] Implementaton Plan to go from Uncontrolled to
Controlled Warehouse

Has anyone gone from uncontrolled to controlled warehouses? If so, do you
have an implementation plan? Also, in controlled warehouses, how to people
manage backflushing of controlled floorstock from multiple locations? It
appears to be very cumbersome.

Thanks for your help.

David
