GTIN is included in scope for the Serial Track and Trace project.
However, we do not currently have an availability date for that new

Hello,
we use the GTIN code for our manufactured items. We put GTIN code to
the
table MBB2CPP in the field B2OEMN (Char 22). You could use any user
field
in the ITEMASA/ITMRVA instead.
I created an trigger program (*INSERT *BEFORE) to calculate GTIN code
for
our new products.
I think you should not use Customer Item Cross Reference file
(MBBIREP),
because the GTIN code is not specific for each customer, it is specific
for each item.

Just so I am clear, you are setting up the COM Item Cross Reference so
that whether a customer uses the GTIN no. or the regular product number
the regular product no. gets used internally?

Did you consider using a user defined field in Item Revision so that
you
can use either one or both, say for labeling?

Hi Richard:

I am not sure what you mean by "Anyone dealing with this?".

We have several customers who are using GTIN numbers. Most are using
these
codes as their item #'s.

So we are setting up item cross reference tables in COM to handle this.

If you have any specific question or concerns please elaborate in an
email.

have to

Hi Everyone,

Is anyone using a different solution for the XA packing list? We're
getting complaints from dealers about the number of pages and spacing
within the pages. Plus the headings take up nearly half of every page.
We're currently on release 7.8.

Thanks!
Kevin

Kevin

Most customers have adopted a forms package for their outward facing
documents. I'd suggest the Infor supported solution Intellicheif. You
can
optionally purchase predefined XA forms, so it saves you time to make it
"yours"

Kevin,
We wrote our own packing list. We just turned on the user exit for the
packing list and then called an in house rpg and prtf file program. We
have been doing this for several years. We also incorporated the IBM afp
solution into it to make them look nicer. Hope this helps. Thanks

Kevin,

We do not use an overlay on our packing slip. We have designed our own
program. You can turn on the user exit (UMBSPF2R) for the packing slip
and design the print format of your pack slip.
