Just so I am clear, you are setting up the COM Item Cross Reference so that whether a customer uses the GTIN no. or the regular product number the regular product no. gets used internally?

Did you consider using a user defined field in Item Revision so that you can use either one or both, say for labeling?

Hi Richard:

I am not sure what you mean by "Anyone dealing with this?".

We have several customers who are using GTIN numbers. Most are using these codes as their item #'s.

So we are setting up item cross reference tables in COM to handle this.

If you have any specific question or concerns please elaborate in an email.

Anyone dealing with this? This is similar to a global UPC product identifier and starting to gain some traction among companies that have to ship outside the US, especially with consumer products. INFOR support says it is part of future plans, but no commitment date
