Product Name Change -
To elaborate a bit more - the name change to Infor ERP Discrete iEnterprise (XA) is just to clearly define the market space where XA will get new customers. Infor has a lot of software solutions, and a common nomenclature was needed to make it easy to determine which solution fit what industry. It has no effect on existing customers, and does not change the product roadmap. The only time you will see the name is in official Infor communications. Everyone still calls the product XA - or MAPICS.
Regarding the roadmap, everyone does need to be aware that the upcoming Inforum in Denver (April 22-25) will have a significant amount of XA content, along with a dedicated System i "conference within a conference". There will be an XA Roundtable discussion, roadmap presentation, review of XA 9.1 and a preview of Release10 - among other sessions. There will be a day's worth of sessions aimed at the executive level, as well as the educational sessions aimed more at the IT audience. We would love to see you there.
