As a further workaround, when the calculated fields are more complicated (i.e. using TBC in MOROUT), you can create an SQL view with CASE statements (or whatever you need) to do the logic and have all of the keys specified in the file. Then use integrator to add this view as a secondary object. If you are looking to do anything other then simple arithmetic or string manipulation this is the only workaround.

This may not have good performance implications so enter in at your own risk.

There is. When we first started, we did not have support for SQL derived logical fields. They were coded as java methods. Then when we built Integrator we added support for SQL based logical expressions and have not taken the time to retrofit it to the earliest objects. We are trying to address them as we make our way through the objects to uplift the UI to take advantage of newer features.

Otto

thanks. I did something similar and it works. It is strange that a created "calculated" field can be subsetting, but one supplied by INFOR cannot. There must be some explaination.

I have the same situation. But my calculated field via integrator does
allow me to subset. The calculated field is one I created.

My subset is "available < 0", I did have to create this subset myself.

It works very well.

All

I have a couple of questions:

1. Why is a logical or calculated attribute excluded from the drop down
list of possible attributes for subsets?
2. Is there any work around?

Here is my issue:

I want to subset a view using the "On Hand Available" attribute which
is
(On-Hand) - (Allocations). This is not the same as Total Available -
(Calculated) that takes into account on order.

But it is not available because it is a logical attribute.

Any ideas?

Kevin
