Let's not confuse field attribute values with code tables.

Best practice is to use code tables. I know of no limits other than iSeries
file limits

I had this problem last year and had to create 2 files.

I was told at that time that the record length limit was 1024 characters.
I would like to know if that is correct.

Yes. I once I brought in data from a payroll package that had large
number of fields and sizes. Infor said it would not work. I had to
define logical files and redefine.

Good Morning everyone!

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a limitation on
the number of attributes or the size of a file that you can use in
Business objects. I added numerous fields to the DDS of a file that we
have and compiled it. I was able to sync it in Integrator with no
issues. When we try to open the object in Power Link we receive this
error - com pjx cfo.util AssertionError. Error loading remote method
map. Our file has 342 attributes and the length is 1496. Has anyone
else run into anything like this?
