Can someone give me a little detail on what is described as the "offline
shipping enhancement" for R6?

I have implemented off line shipping for clients in the past but it's the
distant past. The current client does not have any of the off line shipping
files.

How do they get "enhanced"?

Thanks, everyone.

Doug-

Infor has a solution for this requirement. What was Quadrant
Software's, Formtastic, FastFax, and IntelliChief is now Infor Document
Management. This solution is available either direct from Infor or
through your affiliate. You will see interface points built right into
XA for things like the email of formatted PO's etc. Some of the
interface points require PTF's from infor365. See the link below for the
announcement from Infor.

Ken

If a new Quadrant customer purchased in the last 6 months, how does that
affect the INFOR integration? Is there a upgrade/patch/addon?

Kevin

We are using Interform for forms overlay, PDF creation and e-mailing.

BlueFax for fax, and also e-mailing and MultiArchive for archiving of print
and documents.

All three solutions integrate very nicely to each other.

[MAPICS-L] Print Dist & Archive

I'd like to find out what other XA shops are using for; document
distribution, archiving, and forms overlay. I'd also like to know how
printer status is monitored.

We have several locations throughout North America each of which has
more than one printer. We distribute documents to all of these printers
and need to monitor the status of printers and easily redirect prints if
necessary. In addition to distributing documents to printers we also
distribute documents via email and fax.

Thanks in advance for your information and recommendations.

Doug

Hello Doug,

My company offers solutions for distributing documents from Mapics and
other applications.

We offer electronic forms software, report delivery and document
management software for generating, printing, delivering and archiving
reports from the iSeries.

Documents can easily be diverted to different print queues if a printer
is offline.

Feel free to check out our web site or contact our sales team for more
info.

If it's generated on "i", we can delivery it.......

Richard Schoen

subject: [MAPICS-L] TCP2617 ERRORS

Hello All.

My users are beginning to experience allot of TCP2617 errors.

The errors occur when they are using PowerLink, and the error will

show on their PowerLink browser as a java error. But on the AS400 side,

I can almost always see a TCP2617 error. And it's usually type 2 or 3.

The user activities with PowerLink that cause the errors , are 1.
In-activity.

2. Loading a workbench, or 3. Invoking the Task manager on the desktop.

I think it has something to do with the windows firewall (i.e. blocking
ports or closing ports), we run XP pro

on all of our PowerLink workstations. Am I correct in thinking that the
Window firewall is causing these errors

and what is the port range that PowerLink operates in?

Has anyone had this kind of problem before and what did you do to fix
the problem?

Many thanks in advance.
