Weston,

Many are and have done this. You will likely get a long list of other XA
users doing this.

Officially there is COM-Net which allows a store front interface to XA.
Contact your INFOR sales rep or affiliate.

There is also limited capability by using Net-Link and creating systems
using Enterprise Integrator and System-Link.

In the very near future you will be able to install Customer Orders (SOA)
which has a store front built in. This will most likely not be available
until well after R7.9.

There are many ways to do this with other third party applications such as
Sales Force.com and others. Easy to integrate with System-Link generated
Web Services (WSDL).

My recommendation is to always "roll your own". Primarily because the
"front end" is your interface to your customers and should be unique and
represent fully your relationship with them. No "canned" package can do
this. Second, because most "canned" packages will require some 3rd party
interfaces anyway (i.e. credit cards) as you implement. And finally,
because with System-Link it's just too easy to interface now.

Kevin

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Online ordering.

Hello list.

Is anyone out there, doing on-line ordering and feeding the order data back
into Mapics real time?

Is there a XA app that will do that?

Thanks in advance.
