In my experience BELInda is an excellent resource. Word on the street
is CISTECH's Integrator training is the best available.

Weston...

Best integrator class (outside of Infor) that I took was with CISTECH
and Brenda Daub. Excellent content and the class was tailored using my
system and my data. Google MAPICS CISTECH.

subject: [MAPICS-L] IFM

Hello All,
My questions concerns the IFM file conversion tool.

They have a test env at R6 with IFM already installed but turned off.?
Calling it "SS" and I am suppose to build a CAS/IFM only env (call it
"S1").

What I want to do is build my S1 from SS. I want to then turn off IFM in
SS(apptxt & sysctl)?which is loaded and then in S1 (cas/ifm only)env
Turn on IFM and Turn off all the other modules(again apptxt & sysctl).
Since I have the IFM files in my SS env, Will this work?
Should I just run the de-install tool in?
?thoughts
?
thanks in advance.

Hi Pete,

I install & turn off IFM in live. I build my IFM tables (what you would
be doing in your CAS/IFM only environment) in live. I then create a test
environment from live and run conversion tools in that to create my IFM
test environment. This doesn't require the creation of a CAS/IFM
environment at all. I will dig up my notes and send you some info
offline.

Best regards,
Vanessa

Weston

Check out the infor knowledge zone.

Also, DKM will be having a west coast class approx mid April. We are
still in planning stages and nothing to confirm yet.

Check with your Channel Partner/Affiliate. Typically they offer
education
and custom classes around projects you may have on your plate!
(Advantages
are they do them on your iSeries, and you come away from class with
take-aways you can use "now".)

That approach works well.
