The function to maintain Vendors via XML was not added until R7.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Offline vendor load or automation

Hello,

We have an interest in automating the vendor population into MAPICS R6.
Currently we use Maximo for MRO and maintenance tracking, therefore all
MRO vendors are set up in Maximo then set up in MAPICS.

Has anyone had any experience in using an API or manipulating the MAPICS
vendor master files so that we could automate the adding of vendors into
MAPICS from Maximo? We do not use POs for MRO in MAPICS, so only the
basic AP functionality is used to pay these vendors from MAPICS
therefore the fields that are populated in MAPICS are minimal.

Regards,

Jerry Cole
