For some of us, the step that allows changing of the data is an issue - A
BIG NO NO! (SOX & all).

Otherwise it's nice to see others that also run MAPICS payroll.

Re: [MAPICS-L] Quetions on Infor Payroll Electronic Deposit

Hi Joe
We have been using the direct deposit feature for over 10 years. It runs
fine. Very stable. Setting up the NACHA header file is probably the
hardest
thing, but to be honest once that is done you will never touch it again
(unless your company changes banks).

Just some FYI. When you run the payroll it stores the completed file in
AMFLIBx/PAYEDI. The file is called the pay and the payroll date by
default.
There are a series of steps that are needed to properly merge the Mapics
file and the header information. I wrote program that does this if you are

interested.

Eric is correct about the abilty to manipulate in notepad. It is easy if
you
know where the file is. Sometimes i have needed to correct to the file
before it is sent to the bank. I have opened up in Notepad and changed the

data. This is usually because someone got paid and shouldnt have.

Hope this helps.

We have been using it for quite a few years. Main issue is the setup
and pre-note process which validates the recipients bank account. The
NACHA file that is produced is very standard flat file. Make sure you
have a secure method to transfer to bank. Most banks have this service.

Once it is setup, there is not much to it. The process has been very
stable for us for years.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Quetions on Infor Payroll Electronic Deposit

Our company has started looking at Direct Deposit. I have printed the
'Infor Payroll Electronic Deposit' (SH12635). I also printed Chapter
17. Electronic Deposit support. We will be reviewing these documents.
I would like to hear from other Infor users that have implemented direct
deposit. How the implementation went, what if any problems you had. If
you have any recommendations to make this go smoothly.
Thanks,
William Moore
