Uh oh. That doesn't bode well for the rest of us, unless the affiliate is
mistaken. I hope they are. Unless it's time for the ALF renewal, and the
annual x% increase is kicking in. That might also explain it. Although
that should be explained by the affiliate.

Are they user-based or tier-based pricing? If they are upgrading hardware
and are tier-based, OUCH!!! I switched to user-based back in 1996, saved
us a ton of money at hardware upgrade time. It they are user-based and not
adding users or modules, there shouldn't be any charge from how I have
always done it.

Hopefully Infor hasn't changed the pricing structure......

Hi



I have a client who is currently considering a MAPICS upgrade but have been
told by their support organization they will have to pay additional license
fees for the new version

They're paid up on maintenance so I won't expect them to pay additional
fees. Their not anticipating adding modules so no fee requirement on the
basis of added software.



Anyone on the list been faced with the same situation - same number of
users, no new modules and paid up maintenance - but had to paid additional
license fees to get the new software?
