Thanks, Ed.

I read the PTF but am confused a wee bit. Does it imply that, after
installing the PTF, I need to use a 'User Exit' to make this work?

Also, I followed your suggestion on the work with locations and both
items in both warehouses are QC=2 status = N/A

color me really confused....

Charlie,
The error message is referring to the QC Status of the Item's Warehouse
Location Detail.

The issue is the Item Warehouse Location only supports a initial item
having the same QC Status (in the same location). In other words,
there's no way to support "Waiting for Inspection" AND "Checked" in the
same warehouse location for the same item.

Use "Work With Warehouse Locations" to see the status for the
Item/Warehouse/Location you are receiving into. (The TW, really creates
and issue and receipt)

We wondered about the meaning of that message too!

===========================================
Another consideration; you may want to have the Item's QC status remain
the same when doing a TW. (Why inspect it twice?) This support needs to
be activated; by default for "IOR" items is "Waiting".

See "SH75477 - Eliminate IOR for TW transactions" for more details.

Howdy.

Sorry to bother this busy group with what is most likely a very basic
question, but after researching, I am stumped (not a difficult feat!).

I created a new warehouse (MRB) to hold suspect goods until they are
cleared. It is controlled, as is our main warehouse.

When I try to TW from the main warehouse to the MRB warehouse I get an
error: 'item status not equal to location status'

The item has the "Inspect On Receipt" flag set to yes and the "Quality"
flag set to no.

I have looked everywhere I know as well as searched the K-base. Man, I
hope it's not a PTF!!!

TIA!

Charley
